A former Mount View resident was arrested on suspicion of selling oxycodone pills

MOUNTAIN VIEW – A former resident of Mountain View has been arrested on suspicion of a company selling oxycodone pills, police said.

On Nov. 2, searchers learned that the person offered to sell oxycodone pills over the Internet, a Mountain View police department said in a press release on Tuesday.

Police said these types of pills have been linked to fentanyl overdoses in Santa Clara County and the Bay Area.

Detectives launched an investigation and identified the person as a 21-year-old man who previously lived in Mountain View but now lives in San Francisco, police said.

The man was arrested on Nov. 3 in the 2400 block of Charleston Road in Mountain View. Police said a search of his vehicle found several bottles of different pills and cash.

The man was sentenced to Santa Clara County Jail on charges of possessing a controlled substance for sale, an offer to sell or transport it for sale, bringing the controlled substance into prison, and five promises, police said.
