ESPN reports that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is returning from belly tension, perhaps as early as Friday against the Boston Celtics.
James last played on November 2 when he defeated the Houston Rockets 119-117. He scored 30 points in 36 minutes with 13/21 shots and added 10 assists.
He practices personally in preparation for his return.
The Lakers are 3-4 without James, who will turn 37 next month. They start a five-match road trip on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
James also missed two previous games due to ankle sprains and is limited to six games during the season. He makes an average of 24.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists. The average score is career low since his incoming 2003-2004 season.
