Murda Beatz and Bryson Tiller sell song catalogs to Canada’s Kilometer Music Group

The Canadian music rights management company Kilometer Music Group has acquired two song catalogs from Murda Beatz and Bryson Tiller.

The deals include producer / songwriter Murda Beatz’s hits recorded by Drake, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane and Migos, along with record artist Bryson Tiller’s complete multi-platinum sales catalog with his debut in 2015, Trap soul.

According to Kilometers, the agreements “significantly” increase the Barometer Global Music Royalty Fund’s holdings “in top songs from the modern pop, rap and R & B era”.

Kilometer was launched by music biz veterans Michael McCarty, Gavin Brown and Rodney Murphy and specifically seeks to buy music rights created in Canada.

In February 2021, Kilometer entered into a partnership with an independently owned, Toronto-based investment firm Barometer Capital Management Inc., which currently manages more than $ 1 billion in assets.
