“On my best singing day, I couldn’t sing as furiously as you”

On Sound The results of season 21 live-top 13 show on Tuesday that 10 contestants advanced in the public vote, after which the three with the fewest votes performed on Instant Cave. And the most surprising singer who drops to the bottom three was undoubtedly Team Kelly’s fiery soul stylist Gymani, who had been consistently acting since she turned four chairs on her first performance.

During the Blind Auditions, Gymani made the new coach Ariana Grande’s “pov” so completely his own that Ariana actually said to her, “It’s your song now. Take it! ” And from that important moment, Gymani earned first place in the live playoffs, John Legend compared him to Almighty Jazmine Sullivan, and Kelly Clarkson even said Gyman’s voice is “why this show exists”.

So it was shocking to see this powerhouse in danger of going home this week – before it even made it into the top 10. In addition to Gyman’s impeccable overall record, she returned to her church roots during Monday’s 13 Best Performance program by performing the song “God Only Knows” by the Christian pop band For King & Country, backed by a gospel choir, and I had assumed. it would be a big hit among conservative viewers. (Religious performances have historically been a great success Sound – think of Craig Wayne Boyd’s “The Old Rugged Cross,” Meghan Linsey’s “Amazing Grace,” Paxton Ingram’s “Break Every Chain,” and at least three performances by Jordan Smith.)

The Gyman coach seemed more surprised than anyone else by this result. “On my best singing day, I couldn’t sing as fresh as you. You are so amazing. I have no idea how you are among the bottom three. Not literally. It blows my mind. “I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and you’re inspiring me and making me want to sing better, and you’re pushing me,” Kelly repeatedly declared and asked America to vote for Gyman in the top 11 next week.

My gym would have to face stiff competition with two other contestants singing on Instant Cave: Team Ariana’s alt-pop-rock firecracker Ryleigh Plank (my personal favorite contestant in Season 21) and Team Legend’s diva Shadale. But it wasn’t quite equally surprising to see either of them fall (although Team Ariana’s father / son duo Jim & Sasha Allen Really instead it should have been among the bottom three). Despite the fact that Ryleigh apparently possesses all the elements of a novice superstar, he has always been an underdog and has somehow not been in contact with viewers – Ariana had to rescue him last week. Meanwhile, Shadale started out as a pioneer, but his weird 80s rock track this week, Tom Cochran’s “Life Is a Highway,” was clearly his destruction. And clearly Shadale straight it was his Udo because he looked bleak and defeated before host Carson Daly even stopped reading the results on Tuesday.

Nevertheless, any of these talented women had a chance to win Save. But Shadale seemed appalled by the events of the week, and his cover version of Faith Hill’s “Breathe” – another weird song selection, especially at this tee-or-die moment – began very volatile. I almost thought he didn’t hear himself – it was that coarse. He kind of got his career back by the end of the song, but it was too little, too late. As for Ryleigh, I thought his vampire, a brazenly murmuring, and extremely confident cover of his coach’s own “Dangerous Woman,” would make the Arianators influence the vote, but apparently that wasn’t the case.

As Gymani epicly jazzed his way through the passionate and fearless version of Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love,” he was the real standout of the evening. Even Carson had to remark afterwards: “It was a vibes. ” And so Gymani won the audience vote and sent Shadale and Ryleigh bitterly home.

But even if Gymani hadn’t won Instant Cave this week, he was already a winner life, before she found out about her fate, she brazenly said to Kelly, “I feel like you’re my best friend. If you want to be, we can be best friends! ” Excited, Kelly exclaimed for a moment, “We are best friends! … It’s amazing to invite you as a friend. You can sing with me anytime, anywhere. “
