Rodgers will defend former NFC North rival Stafford in the midst of fighting

New Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has not been at his best in the last two games as he has thrown two touchdowns against four cuts.

Most recently, Stafford played poorly in the Los Angeles 31-10 loss to division rival San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.

It has led to criticism directed at the veteran of the player. Apparently Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers has heard this criticism. He doesn’t have it.

“These are rubbish comments. I’m a huge Stafford fan and I’ve been a long time, Rodgers said Tuesday at the Pat McAfee Show. – We played against him for so many years. He is one of the most talented throwers in football, definitely my generation. I am a fan. He’s a tough dude and has played crazy injuries. I’m a big fan and he’s having a really good season.

Stafford and Rodgers were rivals in the division at NFC North from 2009-2020 before the former traded from Detroit Lions to Los Angeles outside last season.

As for Stafford’s criticism, that’s absolutely ridiculous.
