The Staples Center will be called Crypto.com Arena

All good must stop! Since 1999, the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Sparks have been home to the Staples Center. However, the new agreement will end it and change the name. According to The Los Angeles Times, the new name of the venue is Crypto.com Arena. It is valid for 20 years under an agreement between the Singapore Cryptocurrency Exchange and the arena owner and operator AEG.

Crypto.com dropped large sums to implement this agreement. According to reports, they paid more than $ 700 million for designation rights. Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com, spoke about the agreement and said he hoped people would see it as a sign of the times. “Over the next few years, people will look back on this moment as the moment when the crypt bridged the gap into the mainstream,” Kris said over the phone.

Kris went on to say, “This is just such a great move for AEG types because the next decade is in the crypt,” he said. “And this puts LA and this particular venue right in the middle of it.” Crypto.com reportedly paid more than five times as much for rights to the LA arena as before. However, Kris is not a big investment in stages. He explained, “I don’t think there’s any doubt it was worth it. My belief is 100%.”

The new arena logo will debut at Christmas as the Lakers play against Brooklyn Nets. The remaining Staples Center signs will be replaced with signs under the new name by June 2022. Romans, please comment and tell us what you think about the upcoming name change?
