Wizkid‘s “Essence” included Themes has achieved new success in the adult R&B market as his popular single topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
According to Billboard, “Essence” is Wizkid’s first adult R&B No. 1 on his third appearance on the list. Previously, she made the charts feature on Drake’s “One Dance” with Kyla and Beyonce, as well as SAINt Jhn’s “Brown Skin Girl,” starring Blue Ivy Carter.
Immediately after Nigeria’s second album Made in Lagos, “Essence” showed its popularity on the charts for the first time as it spent four weeks on No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B / Hip-Hop Airplay chart. The single was originally released in April with a music video that has now reached 37 million views on YouTube.
